Laton Alton Huffman (1854-1931) was born October 31, 1854, on a frontier farm near Castalia, Iowa. Huffman's desire to push westward came from his heritage, from tales of adventure told to him by his predecessors. Laton spent most of his life hunting and photographing the area around his Montana home.
