Cary's New Celestial Globe on Stand, C. 1800, the 12 in. globe with label 'Cary's New Celestial Globe, on which, accordingly laid downwards of 3500 stars selected from the most accurate observations and calculated for the year 1800 with the extent of each constellation precisely defined by Mr. Gilpin of the Royal Society, Sold by M. Berge late Ramsden, No. 199 Piccadilly, London'.Measurements: Height: overall 36 in. x Width: 18 in.
Condition:
Good restored condition, circumference ring with old repairs, one leg repaired, missing compass medallion at base.
