Pair of Carlo Ponti (Italian, born Switzerland, ca. 1823-1893)Albumen Photographs, both images mounted, one depicting The Court of the Lions, Alhambra in Granada, Spain, pencil inscribed ' Granada, Alhambra Corte dei Leoni…' on verso (12 5/8 in. x 10 1/4 in.), the other depicting Pont dei Sospiri, Venice, captioned and titled on verso (13 3/4 in. x 10 3/8 in.),both with blindstamp 'Carlo Ponti, Venezia' on mount below image.Measurements: Height: overall of both 17 1/4 in. x Width: 12 in.
Condition:
Overall good vintage condition, both with faint toning to paper and mount, wear and creasing to edges of mounts, small tear upper edge of Alhambra image, possible restored scratches in the river in lower left quadrant of Venice image.
