Description:

Tortoiseshell and Silver Page Turner and a Painted Cigar Case, 19th C, a tortoiseshell page turner with monogrammed repousse sterling silver handle decorated with figures and acanthus leaves, marked with rampant lion, London city mark, 1913 date mark, and 'N.C.' makers mark (14 3/4 in. x 1 3/8 in.); together with a hand painted lacquer cigar case, one side painted with a woman in red and blue dress, the other side with gilt 'Sigars', with brown leather sides and 'L.P.H.' label on interior.

Measurements: Height: of cigar case 5 1/8 in. x Width: 3 7/8 in. x Depth: 1 in.

Condition:

Overall good condition, both with general wear, the page turner with some small chips to edges of tortoiseshell, small dings to silver handle, repairs to handle near top edge, tortoiseshell slightly loose in handle. The cigar case with wear and craquelure to lacquer and paint, wear to gilt lettering, leather cracked and worn, scratch with some inpainting on top edge of one side.
