Description:
Syrian Box and Wood Teapot, the lidded box with intricate bone and wood inlay (3 1/2 in. x 7 3/4 in. x 5 in.) and an inlaid and carved wood barrel-form teapot with butterfly motif on lid, and carved jaguar spout cover.Measurements: Height: of teapot 12 in. x Width: 14 in. x Depth: 6 1/4 in.
Condition:
Fair condition, box with cracks and losses to veneer, particularly along edges, lacking key and locking mechanism, teapot with old marks and scratches and pitting to metal.Notice to bidders: The absence of a condition report does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition or completely free from wear and tear, imperfections, or the conditions of aging.
