Description:

Pino Daeni (NY/SC/UK, 1939-2010), Reflections, Oil on Canvas, signed lower left, depicting a portrait of an older man at a pub table, with 'National Cowboy Hall of Fame, Prix DeWest Invitational' label on verso, in a wide giltwood frame. Frame size: 32 in. x 25 1/8 in.

Italian artist Pino Daeni was a greatly successful painter and illustrator. He is best known for his book illustrations, having designed over 3,000 book covers over the course of his career, making him one of the highest paid book illustrators of his time. Pino designed covers for the large Italian publishers Mondadori and Rizzoli, as well as US publishing houses Simon & Schuster, Penguin, Bantam and Harlequin, among many others.

Measurements: Height: by sight 17 1/2 in. x Width: 13 1/2 in.

Condition:

Good condition, some craquelure, frame with some chips to paint along edges, losses to paint upper right corner.
