Picasso, Femme (A.R. 296), Madoura Pottery Pitcher, (Spain, 1881-1973) conceived in 1955 and executed in an edition of 100, partially glazed and engraved ceramic pitcher, stamped 'Madoura Plein Feu' and 'D'Apres Picasso' and signed 'Picasso' on bottom. A creative partnership between Picasso and Madoura Pottery workshop in Vallauris lasted for 24 years and resulted in many beautiful limited editions. At the workshop Picasso learned the art of ceramics and reworked his sketches into vases and sculptures with the help of the whole Madoura team.MEASURMENTS: Height: 12 in. x Width: 5 1/2 in. x Depth: 3 3/4 in.
