Karas (MA/ME/SC, b. 1954), Green Landscape, Oil on Board, signed lower right, depicting a landscape with green grass and trees in the foreground and hills in the distance, in a giltwood frame with linen mat. Frame size: 12 1/2 in. x 10 1/2 in.Michael B. Karas is a nationally recognized marine and landscape painter, and has been painting professionally for over 46 years. He found his inspiration in the sea, shore and landscape of his native New England home. In 1989, he had his first introduction to the South Carolina Low Country and after several years of visits, settled there permanently in 2004.
