Description:
Large Pair of Sevres Style Porcelain Urns, 19th C, marked in blue on lids, the gilt-metal mounted urns with swan form handles, eagle finials, and shaped bases, one titled 'Rivoli, 1797' and painted with a scene of an officer on a white horse, the other titled 'Fleurus, 1794' depicting a battle scene with officers on horseback, both scenes signed 'Chanele' near bottom edge, both urns with monogramed 'N' on lid and foot near base and decorated with eagle crest on back side.Measurements: Height: 26 1/2 in. x Width: 10 in. x Depth: 6 1/2 in.
Condition:
Good condition, both with wear to gilt decoration, particularly to edge of bases, light wear to gilt-metal, one lid with restored chip and hairline crack to rim.
