John Speed, Map of Surrey Described and Divided into Hundreds, Dated 1610, by John Speed, engraved by Jodocus Hondius, titled upper edge 'Map of Surrey Described and Divided into Hundreds', printed 'Jodocus Hondius calavit anno 1610,' and 'described by travills of John Norden Augme ted and preformed by John Speede, as to be sold by Tho. Bassett in Fleet Street and Richard Chiswell in St. Pauls Churchyard', with coat of arms of Surrey aristocracy along edges and depicting of the chateaus 'Richmont' and 'Nonsuch', matted in a double glazed frame. Frame size: 26 in. x 30 5/8 in.Measurements: Height: by sight 16 1/4 in. x Width: 21 in.
Condition:
Overall good condition, central vertical crease, toning, some foxing, spot lower right quadrant, restored loss to left corner, not viewed out of frame.
