Description:
Japanese Meiji Period Lacquer Box, black and gold lacquer box with two compartments, a lid, and brass handles on two sides, with paper label on underside of lid.Measurements: Height: 8 in. x Width: 10 in. x Depth: 8 in.
Condition:
Overall good condition, crack along corners and along one side of lid, slight separation in one corner of lid, cracks along corners of both compartments, separation along crack in one corner of top compartment, area of loss to lacquer on one side of bottom compartment, wear and surface scratches to lacquer surface, minor pitting to brass handles.
