Henry MacGinnis (American, 1875-1962), Jane in Red, Oil on Board, signed lower right, impressionistic image of a woman dressed in red against a landscape, label on verso with artist, title, and short biography, in a giltwood frame, frame size 12 1/2 in. x 10 3/8 in.

Henry MacGinnis was an Indiana painter who trained first under several members of the Hoosier Group. He then went on to study in Munich and Paris before settling in the Northeast. He taught at the School of Industrial Art in New Jersey and exhibited with the Philadelphia Art Club, the Hoosier Salon and others.
