Description:

Group of 4 English Boxes, 18th/19th Century, including a inlaid small tea caddy with single interior compartment (4 1/2 in. x 4 1/2 in. x 3 5/8 in.), a sarcophagus form tea caddy (5 1/2 in. x 9 in. x 5 1/4 in.), a small footed box (2 in. x 6 in. x 3 1/4 in.), and a writing box with gilt-metal Egyptian and neoclassical decorations on the lid, opening to a divided interior with two glass ink jars (3 1/8 in. x 8 3/8 in. x 5 1/4 in.).

Measurements: Height: of writing box 3 1/8 in. x Width: 8 3/8 in. x Depth: 5 1/4 in.

Condition:

Overall good condition, all with old marks and scratches and wear to edges, the writing box with losses to veneer and chips to edges, large tea caddy with losses and patches to veneer, age cracks, and wear to interior lining, small footed box with some wear and minor chips along edges, and slightly loose hinges on lid, the inlayed tea caddy with some age cracks, lifting to veneer, and losses to inlay along bottom edge.
