Description:

George III Mahogany Tall Case Clock, Edward Muddle, 18th Century, the shaped crest with brass finals above a brass face with strike silent movement, seconds dial, date aperture, and two train movement, signed Edward Muddle, Chatham, above an arched door flanked by stopfluted colonettes above a paneled base on a plinth. Loomes' Watchmakers and Clockmakers of the World' lists Muddle, Edward. born 1709 son of Thomas Muddle of Rotherfield (Sussex), to Chatham (Kent) circa 1760-79.

Measurements: Height: 7 ft. 10 1/4 in. x Width: 19 in. x Depth: 9 3/4 in.

Condition:

Good condition, old marks and scratches, wear to edges.
