Description:
Copeland Spode Historic Newport China Set for 8, 94 pcs., comprising 8 dinner plates, 8 luncheon plates, 8 soup bowls (two with hairline cracks on undersides of rims), 8 ice cream bowls, 8 butter plates, 8 small berry bowls, 8 teacups (4 with some staining in interiors, probably able to be washed off), 8 saucers, 8 coffee cups (all with some small frits to edge of underside), 8 mugs (one with some staining in interior), a large serving bowl, a vegetable dish, a gravy boat with saucer, two serving platters (one with felt covered bottom), a covered vegetable dish, a large tureen, a teapot, a coffee pot, a cream, a lidded sugar, a lidded salt with notch for spoon, and a flask. The majority marked with green Spode stamp 'Copeland England, Spode, fine stone, Trade Winds' and various ships names of the ships depicted on each group. The ice cream bowls, coffee cups, saucers, mugs, salt, flask, and large serving bowl without green stamp and marked 'Spode England, Fine Stone, W128, Trade Winds, from a design, C. 1805.'Measurements: Diameter: of dinner plate 10 1/4 in.
