Description:
Classical Mahogany Desk/Worktable, School of Duncan Phyfe, New York, c. 1815, the rectangular top with drop leaves above three drawers, the first with hinged felt-lined writing surface, inkwell and pen rest, the second drawer is divided with 9 slots, and the bottom drawer is deep and with letter taped to interior, raised on a turned trestle form base and leaf carved downswept legs ending in animal paw caps and casters. The first and third drawers with notations about the history of the piece ".Measurements: Height: 32 7/8 in. x Width: 33 in. x Depth: 18 5/8 in.
Condition:
Good condition, old marks, scratches and stains, some mottling to finish, some age cracks to sides, some wear to edges.
