Charles Woodbury is known for his marine, interior, landscape paintings, etchings, and his prolific teaching career. Born in Lynn, Massachusetts, Woodbury is often considered among the most influential artists to work in Ogunquit, Maine and in Boston. He taught more than 4,000 students during his teaching career, wrote three well known books on art education, and had more than 100 solo exhibitions of his artwork.
