Description:
Carey's Georgia from the Latest Authorities, C. 1795, engraved by William Barker (acrtive 1795-1803), published in 'Carey's General Atlas' for Carey's Edition of Guthrie's Geography Improved published in Philadelphia in 1795, the second atlas printed in America, Matthew Carey (1760-1839), Philadelphia, the second atlas printed in America, with indigenous nations lands indicated, with 'David M. Sherman' collectors label, listing for the item, and copy of original purchase check attached to verso, matted and framed. Frame size: 16 1/4 in. x 22 3/4 in.Provenance: purchased from David Sherman in 2004.
Measurements: Height: by sight 9 1/2 in. x Width: 16 1/2 in.
Condition:
Good condition, horizontal and vertical creases from being folded, creases in lower right edge, some toning particularly in bottom left quadrant, light foxing, not viewed out of frame.
