Plans of the Old and New City of Peking Metropolis of China, By Emanuel Bowen, Engraving, from John Harris’s ‘A Complete Collection of Voyages and Travels’, by Emanuel Bowen, published in London, 1748, copperplate engraving. An explanation key identifies 20 locations by number and many more by letter. Lower portion shows the ancient city. Upper portion is of the city the way it looked around the year 1700, with copies of original collector's documentation on verso, matted and framed. Frame size: 17 5/8 in. x 12 5/8 in.

Measurements: Height: by sight 13 5/8 in. x Width: 8 1/2 in.

Condition:

Good condition, toning and minor foxing, paper slightly wavy not viewed out of frame.
