Description:
Biedermeier Birch and Ebonized Commode, 19th C, the rectangular top above an overhanging freeze drawer and three drawers flanked by classical headed figures, and raised on flaring feet.Measurements: Height: 34 in. x Width: 46 in. x Depth: 23 1/2 in.
Condition:
Fair condition, perishing to varnish of top at right side, age cracks to ends, losses to veneers of corners, veneers to drawer fronts with shrinkage and bowing commensurate with age and use, old marks and scratches, loss to bottom molding of third drawer losses of veneer to bottom second drawer, losses to veneers of plinth, age cracks to sides.Notice to bidders: The absence of a condition report does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition or completely free from wear and tear, imperfections, or the conditions of aging. Complete condition reports are available by request, no later than 24 hours prior to the live auction.
