Anthony Quinn was born in Chihuahua, Mexico in 1915, soon emigrating to the United States as a child. Quinn worked various jobs before becoming an actor, including a prizefighter and a butcher, along with studying architecture briefly under Frank Lloyd Wright. Primarily gaining notoriety for his work in the 1970s and 80s, Quinn is best known for his sculptures and paintings. Alongside working as an artist, Quinn had an acting career spanning over 60 years, including stage, television, and film. He won two Academy Awards for his acting performances.
