Description:
American School, Portrait of an Officer, Oil on Canvas, signed 'Pavison' and dated '1817' lower left, depicting a gentleman in uniform with crossed arms, with estate sale clipping from 1997 on verso, in a giltwood frame. Frame size: 21 in. x 19 in.Measurements: Height: 11 3/4 in. x Width: 9 3/4 in.
Condition:
Good condition, relined, minor wear to edges where canvas touches the frame, craquelure, light wear to frame, areas of inpainting throughout, particularly in face and background.
