Description:
Japanese Nabeshima Porcelain Plate, Pair of Imari Plates and 2 Small Dishes, comprising a 8 3/8 in. Nabeshima ware porcelain plate, c. 1850, decorated with vases against a patterned blue and white ground, with 'Gump's' typed info sheet, a pair of 8 3/8 in. blue and orange Imari plates with shaped rims, and a pair of 3 3/8 in. dishes decorated with gilt and white flower motif, marked in red on undersides.Measurements: Height: of Nabeshima ware plate 2 in. x Width: 8 3/8 in.
Condition:
Overall good condition, all with general light wear, one imari plate with chip to rim and associated hairline crack, both imari plates with small frits to rims and wear and scratches to centers, minor wear to gilt on small dishes.Notice to bidders: The absence of a condition report does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition or completely free from wear and tear, imperfections, or the conditions of aging.
