Mario Yrisarry (Philippines/New York, b. 1933), Color Study, Acrylic on Canvas, 1974, signed and dated "1974" on stretcher, depicting blocks of color in a Fibonacci sequence, unframed. Together with photocopies of a photo of Yrsarry in the Village Voice from 1969 announcing that he is the first one man show at the O.K. Harris Gallery on West Broadway, a CV and other show announcements.
Yrisarry was represented by David McKee Gallery Inc. 140 East 63 Street, New York, and was included in their show "20th Century Paintings, Sculpture and Drawings" including Robert Motherwell and David Smith in September 1974. His work is in the permanent collection of The Whitney Museum of American Art and was exhibited in their 1973 show "Recent Acquisitions."
