According to the owner this painting was purchased by his mother in 1976 from Sotheby Parke Bernet from an Important Old Masters Painting auction catalogued as 'School of Francois Boucher, a Pastoral. An elegant young couple seated in a landscape observe a dove held by a pale blue ribbon'.
