Description:
Two Petersen Photographs of the Preussen Five-Masted Ship, 19th Century, both depicting the German ship 'Preussen,' the first fully rigged five-masted ship, one marked 'Copyright K.G. Petersen' lower right (small loss upper left, repaired tear upper right corner and other tears along right side), the other marked 'Copyright' lower right (wear along upper edge), in wood frames. Frame size of larger: 29 1/2 in. x 24 1/2 in.Measurements: Height: by sight of larger, 23 1/2 in. x Width: 18 3/4 in.
Condition:
Overall fair condition, toning, fading, some spotting, not viewed out of frames, see description, wear to frames.Notice to bidders: The absence of a condition report does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition or completely free from wear and tear, imperfections, or the conditions of aging.
