Description:
Toyohara Kunichika, Excursion to Arashiyama in Kyoto, 1865, (Japanese, 1835-1900) depicting figures on rafts in a river.Measurements: Height: of panels 14 1/2 in. x Width: 9 3/4 in.
Condition:
Fair condition, far left panel with tear upper left corner, trimmed, center panel with loss to ink lower right corner, hole in collar of right standing figure, far right panel with tear along upper edge, hole in upper left quadrant, restoration on upper left corner and lower left corner, stains along river, tear in lower right edge. All with remnants of mounting tape along top edge.
