Description:
Thomas Jefferys, Hand-Colored Map of Martinico, c. 1760, rare topographical map of Martinico (Martinique), hand colored engraving, from Jeffery's Atlas, matted and in a giltwood frame, with 'Antiquities Certificate of Authenticity' on back of frame. Frame size: 23 7/8 in. x 24 7/8 in.Measurements: Height: by sight, 13 3/4 in. x Width: 15 in.
Condition:
Overall good condition, vertical creases, one crease with tear bottom right, with ghosting from verso, paper toned, some foxing, paper wavy, not viewed out of frame.Notice to bidders: The absence of a condition report does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition or completely free from wear and tear, imperfections, or the conditions of aging. Complete condition reports are available by request, no later than 24 hours prior to the live auction.
