Stan Flagg (Savannah, 20th/21st century), Playing Field, Lake Mayer, Oil on Canvas, 1997, signed and dated '97 lower right, depicting two boys playing soccer in a field, in a giltwood frame with linen mat. Frame size: 19 in. x 16 in.A native of Savannah, Georgia, Stan Flagg attended the Parsons School of Design in New York City, and moved back to the south to continue his work. In his impressionistic style of brush strokes, Flagg chronicles life in the alleyways and backyards of Savannah and captures quiet areas and street scenes.
