Two Staffordshire Portrait Busts of John Wesley and George Whitefield, Pair of English 19th c. Earthenware Busts, depicting Rev. John Wesley (11 in. x 7 in. x 4 1/4 in.) and Rev. George Whitefield, back of Wesley bust is inscribed 'The Rev. John Wesley, M.A., died March 2, 1791, Aged 88', back of Whitefield bust marked 'The Rev. George Whitefield, died Sept. 30, 1770, Aged 56', unmarked bases, likely based on Enoch Wood's earlier models.

Measurements: Height: of Whitefield bust 11 1/2 in. x Width: 8 in. x Depth: 4 1/4 in.

Condition:

Good condition, light wear, both with craquelure, Wesley with one corner of base broken and restored, Whitefield with break to base partially restored on corners.
