Spanish Walnut Vargueno on Chest, 17th Century, the upper section, with elaborate gilt-metal and velvet mounts with fall front, opening to an interior fitted with an elaborately carved and bone inset arrangement of drawers and doors, the later lower section with two long drawers on square flaring feet. Provenance: Purchased from Ahlers and Ogletree April 20th, 2016, lot 291. Originally from the Estate of Dr. Woody Cobbs & Mrs. Honor Cobbs, Atlanta, Georgia.
