Property from a Savannah, GA Estate

Description:

Sabre with Latin Inscription, Possibly Persian, the blade inscribed near hilt 'Pro Deoe Patrim, Propatrim Libertad Vitam' and 'Tron Ingare Virgo Maria' with faint images of a crown and a figure on horseback, with wood hilt decorated with repousse floral banding. With a repoussé metal and leather scabbard. Length of blade: 31 in.

Measurements: Height: overall 37 1/2 in.

Condition:

Overall good condition, some age cracks in wood hilt, pitting to blade and metal on hilt and scabbard, leather on scabbard lightly worn, scabbard with some dings and dents.
