Roman Marble High Relief of a Horse and Rider, 2nd-3rd Century AD, mounted on a wood base, with receipt and certificate from Artemission, London.Provenance: The Azel Guttmann Collection, Berlin, Germany, Artemission, London, September 17, 2007, $1,900.
Measurements: Height: of stone 7 12 in. x Width: 7 in. x Depth: 3 in.
Condition:
Weathered and worn condition, surface dirt, 1 3/4 in. x 1 in. chip to upper left corner (see photos), wear and chips to edges and back, surface scratches, wear to base.Notice to bidders: The absence of a condition report does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition or completely free from wear and tear, imperfections, or the conditions of aging.
