Description:
Pei Yang (Chinese/American, b. 1971), Interior, Oil on Canvas, signed lower right, depicting an interior scene with lamp and couches, with gallery labels on verso, in a wood frame. Frame size: 29 in. x 34 1/2 in.Pei Yang was born in Yangzhou, China in 1971. He immigrated to Montreal in 1994 to pursue his passion for visual art. He now lives in the city where he devotes his time to painting contemporary floral still lives and urban landscapes. Pei Yang began his artistic training in secondary school. He studied fine art at the Ottawa School of Art and animation at Algonquin College. Since 1989, he has exhibited his works in galleries, government buildings and international film festivals in both Canada and China. His first solo exhibition took place in Ottawa in 1996, and the artist has since won numerous awards for his work.
