Pair of Chinese Yoke Back Huanghuali Side Chairs, Qing Dynasty, 17th Century, with serpentine rectangular splat flanked by curved rounded stiles above a rectangular seat inset with rattan on molded square legs joined by box stretchers. Provenance: Schoeni Fine Oriental Art in Hong Kong, June 3, 1989. This item appears on a Sotheby's 1997 insurance appraisal valued at $18,000.
