Description:

Pair of China Trade Paintings, Gouache, c. 1825, gouache on paper, two tea plantation scenes of workers in fields, one scene with figures holding bushels of peas, with a cityscape background, the other with some figures wielding hoes and others seated and eating, with a mountainous landscape background, both with fabric matting and wood frames. Frame size: 23 1/2 in. x 27 1/2 in. Provenance: Alfred Bullard, Washington Antique Show, 1985.

Measurements: Height: by sight, 16 1/8 in. x Width: 20 1/2 in.

Condition:

Good condition, small spot of restoration in top right corner of sky on scene with peas, some wear to frames, not viewed out of frames.
