Description:
Pair of Boehm Kestrels with Falcon Hoods, comprising two painted porcelain kestrels on tree stump bases, one wearing a falcon hood and the other with the falcon hood off and resting on the base, both signed 'Boehm' on back of bases below stumps and marked 'Boehm, Limited Edition, Kestrel, Falco Sparverius s., 492, made in USA' on undersides. Together with 'The Porcelain Art of Edward Marshal Boehm,' by Reese Palley, hardback edition, 1988 (the kestrels illustrated on page 129 with caption 'RPC-1081-01, Kestrels'). Dimensions of kestrel without hood: 14 1/4 in. x 7 in. x 5 in.Measurements: Height: of hooded kestrel 16 1/2 in. x Width: 7 in. x Depth: 5 in.
Condition:
Good condition, kestrel with hood missing part of green ribbon on back of hood, with associated small losses to paint.
