Description:

Pair of 18th/19th C Latin American or Portuguese Rosewood Open Armchairs, each with shell-carved crest over an elaborately carved splat flanked by outcurved open arms centering a slip seat raised on cabriole legs with deep apron ending in ball and claw feet.

Measurements: Height: 43 1/2 in. x Width: 26 1/2 in. x Depth: 18 1/2 in.

Condition

Good restored condition, both with repairs to crests, both with repairs to splats, one with broken and repaired back leg and chips along one side of arm which have been repaired, the other with repair to rear seat rail and repairs to front apron, front left arm support repaired. Both chairs appear to have missing knee brackets and other old repairs.
