Description:

Myrtle Jones (Georgia, 1913 - 2005), Garden Scene, Marker Drawing, signed lower right, depicting a patio table and chairs with yellow umbrella, matted and framed. Frame size: 19 1/4 in. x 16 1/8 in.

Myrtle Jones was an artist whose paintings commonly featured streetscapes and architecture of Savannah, Georgia. Throughout her career Jones depicted everyday life in Savannah, through subjects including urban streetscapes, buildings, landscapes, and portraits of locals.
