Myrtle Jones (Savannah, 1913-2005), Green-Meldrim House, Oil on Board, signed lower right and dated '62, with 'CH Brown Savannah, GA' gallery label on verso, depicting the front façade of the Green-Meldrim House in Savannah, GA, in a silvered wood frame. Frame size: 26 3/4 in. x 22 3/4 in.Myrtle Jones was an artist whose paintings commonly featured streetscapes and the architecture of Savannah, Georgia. Throughout her career Jones depicted everyday life in Savannah, through subjects including urban streetscapes, buildings, landscapes, and portraits of locals.
