Description:
Mislabeled George Washington Staffordshire Benjamin Franklin and a George Washington Figure, comprising a standing figure with the obvious appearance of Benjamin Franklin, yet is titled "G. Washington" in gold script on the base, and a standing figure of George Washington, unmarked. The mistaken Washington figure is similar to Arman AI.21 illustrated on page 233 of Anglo-American Ceramics, Part 1, by David and Linda Arman, published 1998.Measurements: Height: of mislabeled figure 15 3/4 in. x Width: 5 1/4 in. x Depth: 4 1/2 in.
Condition:
Overall good condition, both with craquelure, the unmarked Washington figure broken and repaired with associated loss on break near base, repair to base to level out base and with glue residue and surface grim.
