Michael Angelo Hayes (Irish, 1820-1877), Pair of Equestrian Military Watercolors, both signed lower left, one depicting three figures in uniform on horseback along a dirt road, the other with multiple figures in uniform on horseback and horse drawn carts in a village, numbered '388' on verso, both matted and framed with artist plaques. Frame sizes: 20 1/2 in. x 25 in.
Michael Angelo Hayes was an Irish watercolorist. He primarily painted horses and military subjects. He exhibited across Ireland and in England in his lifetime. His work is currently held in various public and private collections, including the Yale Center for British Art.

Overall good condition, papers toned, the work with three figures with small tears along one edge of paper and tear lower left corner, the other with tear in top of left edge, wear to frames, not viewed out of frames.Notice to bidders:
