Description:
Marquis de Lafayette Signed Letter, 1825, a Marquis de Lafayette signed letter in French dated Nov. 25th, 1825, together with English translation, written biography, portrait engraving of Lafayette (marked, 'Litho.de Palley, Lion' lower right), commemorative coin honoring Lafayette's 'Hero Tour of America' and a 'Battle of Savannah' commemorative postcard, 1979, all matted and framed together. Frame size: 26 1/2 in. x 23 1/2 in. By sight of print: 9 1/2 in. x 7 1/2 in.Measurements: Height: of letter 4 5/8 in. x Width: 7 3/8 in.
Condition:
Overall good condition, letter with faint vertical crease where once folded and slight wear to edges, paper of letter with partial watermark visible along bottomed edge, faint creases in corners, engraving with creases and some foxing.
