Mark Catesby (English, 1682-1749), Mangrove Grape Tree, Plate 96, Hand Colored Engraving, signed in plate lower edge, numbered '96' upper right, depicting a mangrove branch with leaves, fruit, and insect, with pencil inscription '3rd Edition lower right unframed, with Edmeads & Co. 1809 watermark. Sheet size: 21 1/8 in. x 14 1/4 in.

Measurements: Height: of plate 14 5/8 in. x Width: 10 1/4 in.

Condition:

Fair condition, some toning to paper, some glue residue on far edges of paper, particularly top and right sides, hinge tape on verso of upper corners from previous framing, wear to edges, small tear top right corner and upper left edge.
