Ludwig Schmidt (Austrian, 1816-1906) Two Hand-Colored Fish Etchings, one engraving depicting various views of 'Cottus Cataphractus, The Armed Bullhead' and 'Cottus Gobio, The River Bullhead' inscribed 'Kruger Juni del.' lower left and 'C. L. Schmidt fc.' lower right (plate size: 7 in. x 12 1/2 in.), the other engraving depicting 'Callionymus Dracunculus, The Sordid Dragoned' and 'Blennius Fasciatus, The Banded Blenny' inscribed 'Kruger Juni del.' lower left and 'Ledwig Schmidt fc.' lower right (plate size: 8 1/4 in. x 15 1/8 in.). Both matted and unframed.Measurements: Height: of paper 10 1/8 in. x Width: 16 3/4 in.
Condition:
Good condition, some light toning to paper, wear to edges of paper, some small foxing marks, faint water stains lower right corner of smaller engraving.
