Description:
Limoges Fish Service, 16 Plates and a Platter, comprising 16 9 3/8 in. plates with scalloped gilt rims and central fish imagery, all marked 'Limoges France' and 'Ovington Bro's, New York' on undersides, together with a long oval platter with large fish image, marked 'Limoges France' in purple and green on underside.Measurements: Width: of platter 23 1/2 in. x Depth: 9 1/2 in.
Condition:
Overall good condition, fish decorations and gilt all with wear and losses, 5 plates with frits to rims, four with small chips to rims, three with repaired chips, one with repaired chip and hairline crack, one with hairline crack on rim.Notice to bidders: The absence of a condition report does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition or completely free from wear and tear, imperfections, or the conditions of aging. Complete condition reports are available by request, no later than 24 hours prior to the live auction.
