Description:

Li Huisheng (Chinese, b. 1950), Landscape, 1982, Watercolor on Paper, signed and dated 1982 and with poem inscription upper left translated as 'The flower and grass surrounded by water makes him think of his hometown. The water is so clear like a mirror reflecting the green mountain on both sides of the river. A light rain and wind overnight, the boat finally reach my Nanjiang,' depicting a river in a mountain valley, in a giltwood frame. Frame size: 32 1/2 in. x 18 3/4 in.

Li Huisheng studied in the Art Department of Hebei Normal University. He further studied at the Central Academy of Fine Arts and the Beijing Academy of Fine Arts. He’s head of a number of Chinese artist associations and is currently the head instructor of "Peng Guochang’s Landscape Painting Creative Research Studio" at the Painting School of Renmin University of China.

Measurements: Height: by sight, 31 3/8 in. x Width: 17 3/4 in.

Condition:

Overall good condition, crease lower right corner and mid-left edge, another small crease lower middle, slight waviness to paper, not viewed out of frame.
