Description:

Leroy Neiman (NY/IL/MN, 1921-2012), Leopard, Screenprint, c. 1972, pencil signed lower right, numbered '68/300' and stamped lower right, a screenprint in colors depicting a leopard lounging in a tree, in bright colors, in a giltwood frame. Frame size: 41 3/4 in. x 53 5/8 in.

LeRoy Neiman is known for his impressionistic painting style that blended pop art styles with vibrant colors and movement. Neiman studied art at both the St. Paul School of Art and the Art Institute of Chicago. Today, his works can be found in the collections of the Art Institute of Chicago, the Smithsonian American Art Museum in Washington, D.C., and the Indianapolis Museum of Art, among many other private and public collections. Good condition, paper slightly creased around edges, wear to frame, not viewed out of frame.
