Description:

Large Battersea Enamel Box, 18th Century, white enamel box with scenes on lid, front and back printed in black, box unmarked, label in interior reading 'Battersea Enamel Hancock design of "La Disense" (The Fortune Teller) 1753-1756,' the scenes are rural landscapes that depict a well-dressed woman interacting with various people and animals, with a gilt metal rim, hinge and clasp.

Measurements: Height: 1 1/2 in. x Width: 3 5/8 in. x Depth: 2 3/8 in.

Condition:

Good condition, some small cracks and light craquelure, wear to bottom.
