Description:
Kathleen Kemarre (Boundary Bore Outstation, Australia, 20th Century),Women's Ceremony, Acrylic on Canvas, unsigned, with floral pattern, framed. With paperwork on back, dated June 1996, a photo of the artist with the work, 'Group: Anmatyerre Area: Atneltyeye - Boundary Bore Outstation,' and 'Kathleen's painting represents Women's Ceremony, the women of Boundary Bore gather together to have ceremony. They sit in small groups, paint each other's bodies using ground ochres and sing and chant throughout the day,' in a wood frame. Frame size: 42 1/2 in. x 30 in.Measurements: Height: by sight 37 in. x Width: 24 1/4 in.
